Spitfire..... The legendary British fighter Spitfire was designed by Reginald Mitchell team and come down from the seaplane Supermarine developed for the Schneider Cup racing. The first flight of the Spitfire was made in 1936 powered with a Rolls Royce Merlin engine with 960 HP. Over the years the Spitfire overcome at all, increasing the power of its Merlin engine to 1,700 HP and improving their weapons, which in the first version was 8 machine guns caliber 7.7 mm, up to carry 20mm cannon-far more powerful. All this speaks for itself of the excellent design of this airplane. Highly maneuverable, the main secret of the Spitfire was the unique design of its wings. They were produced in total 20,350 Spitfires until 1945 and today they can be seen flying in air shows around the world.
